Book an Inspection
Councils provide detailed guidelines on what inspectors will check and inspections can be booked online or by phone.
Code of Compliance
The final step is a Code Compliance Certificate (CCC) which confirms that your building work complies with the consent.
Change of Building Use
Changing the use of a building (e.g. from commercial to residential) has specific consent requirements.
Certificate of Public Use
If your building is open to the public, you may need a Certificate of Public Use (CPU) to occupy it before the Code Compliance Certificate (CCC) is issued.
Certificate of Acceptance
A Certificate of Acceptance (CoA) may be issued for work done without consent in certain situations and this is assessed on a case-by-case basis.
